As of 2023, the United States houses 1.8 million prisoners, which is more than any other country on Earth.
Our Mission
Here’s the reality—97% of the humans facing incarceration will be released and expected to survive outside of prison walls. Over 10,000 people are released from prison facilities in the United States every week.
Programs to help with their transitions are few and far between. With this in mind, Empowered Jobs was founded to reduce to rate of prison re-entry and recidivism in the United States by offering video content, resources, and mentorship opportunities to those with lived experience within the prison system.
We offer equitable resources, educate the formerly incarcerated community on available opportunities, and empower them with the tools necessary to achieve their dreams. Our goal is to practice empathy and provide a safe space for all, regardless of their pasts.

We partner with corporations, nonprofits, government agencies, and other members of the public to help raise awareness about our mission to address the impacts of systemic inequalities and mass incarceration in the United States.
